I don't know if this was the official insignia for the 3rd Photographic Reconnaissance Group, the 5th
Combat Mapping Squadron, another squadron, or just some doodling by Ennis Howe, but I have taken the liberty to use
it as a template to create the insignia at the top of these pages for 3rd Photographic Group, Reconnaissance. The only official information
I have regarding the groups insignia is the following: Insigne. Shield: Per chevron or and azure, in center chief point a sylized camera,
lens to base sable, Motto: Archez Bien - Shoot Well. (Approved 29 Oct 1942.)
